Shipititez tha Viruz first made his mark in the independent hip hop scene with the pioneering, experimental hip-hop group Weird Naked Indians. He has often been credited as an early innovator of low fidelity and experimental hip-hop. Releasing his music independently beginning in 2003, the first and second E.P records (Zodiac 707 in 2003 and Sonar in 2006) were distributed through some of the original music sharing sites including MP3.com, Soundclick, Audiogalexy, Napster, MP3.com.au and later MySpace. Known for cannabis laced flows, experimentation with multi-track recording and distorted bass playing, Shipititez tha Viruz is constantly innovating and challenging the boundaries of conventional music. Always interesting and diverse, but never for the sake of diversity. Shipititez tha Viruz has served in various capacities (bassist, vocals, guitar or production) with a variety of bands and artists, including Admiral of the Black, Weird Naked Indians, Yankem and The Jobbers, Kingdom WhiskeyDick and WN1NW. A master of ghetto recording techniques; Shipititez combines ambient experimentation with sound wave manipulation, extreme distortion and intoxicated noise sessions, to create a signature symphonic which can never be duplicated.
