Formed in: January 2004 Origin: Transylvania – Cluj-Napoca Genre(s): rock-core Line-up: Syca’n’destroy – lead guitars/vocals Fodor Liviu Andrei – bass guitar Seby Hetea – rhythm guitars Johnny – keyboards Cristi – drums Bio: The band was founded in 2004 and had the following line-up: Mircea (guitars), Dan (guitars/vocals), Radu (drums), Copilu’ (keys) and Syca (bass/guitars). At that time, the band’s name was Wolfdance and the genre they approached was Gothic/Death Metal. After several concerts in Cluj-Napoca, Radu and Copilu’ had to leave the band because of some personal issues. Wolfdance continues its activity with three members only and, instead of a new drummer, they have to use a Drum-machine. At this moment, the name of the band changes into She-Wolf.

They perform in two concerts with this line-up before they meet Claudiu (Jegu’), who’s going to handle the drums. Some important gigs follow up, not only in Cluj-Napoca, but also in other cities of Romania. There, they get the opportunity to perform with other bands from the underground such as Trooper, Voices of Silence, C.A.S.H. and Psycho Symphony.

In December 2004, Mircea decides to leave the band and as a result, Syca gets to be the guitarist and the new bassist will be Liviu. With this line-up the band has a concert for Anti-Valentine’s Day with C.A.S.H. and gets the opportunity to participate with other 13 bands at Maximum Rock Festival 2005 in Cluj-Napoca. Because of some contradictions, Dan will perform just as a guitarist and the vocals will be taken by Alma.

At this point the genre changes from Gothic/Death Metal to Gothic/Power Metal. They have another concert with C.A.S.H. and manage to entertain the audience with their new sound. Claudiu has to leave and Bogdan takes his place, being the new drummer.

After they performed at Rockland Fest 1 in Caransebes in 2005, Stream Fest Light 2005 and a concert in Viking Club, Bucharest, Dan decides to quit because he wasn’t interested anymore in the promoted genre. The last concert for 2005 was Christmas Fest in Satu-Mare. In 2006, She-Wolf recorded a demo entitled “Reflections” and then, took a break when Syca went into the U.S. in order to get the right instruments for the band.

In March 2007, they were back on track having a concert with C.A.S.H. and Audiogram and participating at Wasting the Dawn with other bands like Staccato, Dispersia, Shadowsail and Vespera. In April they had a mini-tour in Lugoj and Timisoara and in May, besides being one of the support bands for BONFIRE (GER) at Bikers Fest, they had another concert in Bucharest as a supporting band for Mandragora Scream (ITA). June was a month for Rock’n’Iasi Fest, where She-Wolf had the opportunity to be a support band for Demonlord (HUN). After this gig Alma and Bogdan decided to leave.

Syca becomes the lead guitarist/vocalist, Seby joins the band and handles the rhythm guitar and Cristi gets to be the drummer. With this line-up they performed in July in Baia-Mare at Metal Maniac Festival. She-Wolf released their first studio record (low budget and self-produced) called Distorted Reality, that contains 11 tracks composed mostly by Syca. http://www.myspace.com/shewolfro http://www.facebook.com/pages/She-Wolf/169833609731390 Read more on Last.fm.
