in 2006. In 2008, Mr. Dvornichenko received his M.M. degree from the Yale School of Music, studying with the world-renowned musician and professor of clarinet David Shifrin. Mr. Dvornichenko has been the winner of numerous international clarinet competitions, including the International Competition in Lvov, Ukraine, the Second International Clarinet Competition in Moscow, Russia, the Selmer-Paris International Competition, the Concursal International de Muzica in Bucharest, Romania, as well as the Yale Chamber Music Competition in 2009. Mr.
Dvornichenko has performed in concert venues such as the Isaac Stern Auditorium and Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Kennedy Center Opera House, and Boston Symphony Hall. In 2007, Sergiy was invited to perform and give master classes at the “Meeting with Aivazovsky Festival” in Kharkov, Ukraine. Recent Chamber Music engagements include an appearance alongside Mr. Shifrin in Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2008, featured performances of the Yale Vista Chamber Music Performance Series, and the Yale Chamber Music Competition. In 2008 Mr.
Dvornichenko formed a violin trio with his younger brother. Upcoming performances include appearances in Europe and Dubai. Mr. Dvornichenko has participated in master classes with Fred Ormand, Phillippe Cuper, Burt Hara, Valeri Sokalov, Frank Cohen, Eddie Daniels, and Anthony McGill. Mr. Dvornichenko currently holds the Second Clarinet position at the Glens Falls Symphony; in addition, he regularly appears with the Albany Symphony, the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, and is on the substitute roster for the New Haven Symphony and the New World Symphony.
