Founded during springtime 2001, Señor Torpedo comes up with a stylish mixture of fat electronic beats, unconventional sounds swinging from strict floor burners to jazzy ballad chords and the adorable and glamorous voice of Dutch lead vocalist Iris Romen. Further band members contributing to the unforgetable sound of Señor Torpedo are: Andy Reinard - Drums Oliver Walczak - Piano/Synth/Effects Thomas Palenberg - Bass and Simon Verve - Percussion The sound of Señor Torpedo can be called a fresh urban sound. With the wide meaning of this description the band expresses the freedom to be innovative and free of strict categories, integrating flavours from warm latin tunes to beating club house tracks but always with an ear for the dancefloor. The recently released single "high*", produced by Dominik Friede (Wonderwall, The Mighty Sleepwalkers [D]) and Señor Torpedo, is rather an electro-driven groove cut and already received airplay on German radio stations WDR EinsLive, Radio Fritz Berlin and Studio Brussels. It was furthermore chosen as the official track for the gym-wheel world championships 2005. The full record release Through Night Scenes was produced by Luuk Cox (Buscemi/Shameboy) and Dominik Friede and sold during short time over 1000 pieces without any label or distribution. A 12" Vinyl is out due to increasing DJ requests.

Vienna based producer Sascha Weisz aka "Megablast" (Stereo Deluxe/ Afro Art rec. UK) produced a club remix of the percussive swinging Señor Torpedo track "Water Love". Important recent performances showed Señor Torpedo live on famous Berlin radio station Fritz in June 05 with over 80min. live radio airplay. The band was straight away booked for the main stage of Berlinova Festival.

Appearances on Dranouter Festival (B), Klinkers Festival Brugge (B) followed. Señor Torpedo played club concerts and open air shows in Spain, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany and has raised remarkable media and public appreciation but is still starving for reliable distributors and a careful record label.
