Ben Folds was also an early member of the band. They played a style of direct, uptempo power pop that was reminiscent of Matthew Sweet, Fountains of Wayne, or Ben Folds Five. The band recorded their debut album "Powerbill" for Geffen Records, but were unceremoniously dropped by the label just before the album's scheduled 1993 release due to perceived unmarketability--it was too pop for grunge-soaked alternative radio, but too alternative for pop format radio. The album was eventually released in Japan in 1996 and sold modestly, and despite its rarity it is often hailed as a touchstone of '90s power-pop. 3) Semantics is a Drum & Bass Producer from Britain.
