Second Chyld

Second Chyld delivers a refreshing return of the "Classic Album Rock" approach. The North Eastern US based alternative rock outfit is intent on picking up where the "guitar rock" of the 70's, 80's, and even early to mid 90's left off. Continuing on from there, with all the bells & whistles, Second Chyld is born with the releasing of their first collection of 7 cool tracks entitled "Volume 1 - Transparent" on 11/11/11. Interesting twists, arrangement turns, atmospheric shifts, and little goodies are no exception with more to be discovered with each listen of Second Chyld creations. Their writing provides the listener with that psychedelic rock variety experience that never grows old for some, generation after generation, even becoming the genre path for up and coming rock musicians and the "new generation" recently surfacing classic music fans.

The group features 2 original core members of the indy relic group Chyld (1988 New Rennaissance Records), which spawned the now "rare and collectable" worldwide album release "Conception" under the NRR label. Originally released copies of the Conception album can still often be found at online auction sites with a few rare unopened vinal record copies having sold for in excess of $300 over the last decade. Second Chyld primary recording artists are original band members Bib Haslam and John Joseph, with the addition of Dan Maidenford and John Joseph Jr to round out a fresh run of unique song writing and instrumentation leaving no stones unturned. "Refreshing" is the best single word to describe this much needed arrival of a new brand of truely timeless-type "guitar rock". Their influences range from the obvious to the unexpected; from Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, and Alice In Chains to REM, Elton John, and the Indigo Girls...

and even some more obscure influences at the fringes of the "alternative rock" and "folk rock" genres. Lyrically, Second Chyld will not bore or bother you with any "death dreams", sexcapades, or "ego muscle" trips. Lyrically, Second Chyld will not bore or bother you with any "death dreams", sexcapades, or "ego muscle" trips. As for some current times inspiration injected into "Volume 1 - Transparent", in particular in the Track Developement & Production areas, the uniquely inventive and straight forward approach of the Foo Fighters arrangement and production efforts can be cited as a key influence to the track mixing and mastering processes applied to the Second Chyld debut release.Fans of "Clean" lyrical content which are inspiring and thought provoking, with an occasion theraputical purging of that "sense of the darkness" sensation to spark the "heart light" will not be dissapointed.

Topically broad or dynamic, yet with obvious direction of intention that doesn't get lost in pointless rhymes. This band will continue on creating more new ear candy, currently in production on the Max Perception Records U.S.A. label in hopes of helping to inspire a solid new music culture genre shift back to where good guitar album rock left off.
