And so that's where it starts. Scott was in the Marine Corps Reserve and was activated for the 1st gulf war. Stationed for the most part in North Carolina, it is here that he purchased his first ovation. Scott plays left handed and has always just restrung right handed guitars.
Until recently he finally purchased his first left handed guitar - a Seagull S6. Having been married and raised a child, Scott finds himself starting over. That's a great place to be for a songwriter. Although he makes many kinds of music in many genres, his primary focus is his Songwriting. Mostly in a pop/ folk style Scott's songs are a deep look into his life and experience.
About love and love lost - things anyone can relate to. Scott's hallmarks are melody and harmony - rich and beautiful, conveyed through heart-felt, sometimes whimsical lyrics. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, but always triumphant, Scott's music will leave you thinking. Scott is also an active producer/ engineer and has been recording in Sacramento since 2003. Following a strict policy of working with friends only - Scott has recorded and mastered for Pushtunawanda, Ian McGlone, Tyler Ragle, The Poodlums, The Inversions (theinversions.com) and Will Comstock.
A song he recorded for the Inversions ended up in the independent film "Jake's Corner" (santofilms.com). Currently Scott is recording new material and mastering his newly completed project, "The Planting of Trees". Which is a combination of styles ranging from folk to electronica and includes many experiments and adventures. Read more on Last.fm.
