The two were proposing a back-to-back dj set with a great minimal sound, a very hazardous sound to propose for the Italian taste at that moment. After several exciting gigs in the main Italian festivals (Sintesi, Dissonanze, Distorsonie, Arezzo Wave) in 2002 their dj mix were selected by Red Bull Music Academy and Eclat were invited to participate at the Brazilian edition of the Academy in Sao Paulo. This experience was extremely important as it helped gaining new contacts, friendships and a better awareness of the electronic and clubs' international scene. Back from Brazil, Giulio and Francesco made the important decision to take up music production more seriously and together with their close friend Marzio Aricò (Prudo, DRM), gave birth to the tracks that Luke Solomon wanted for his label Music For Freaks. The tracks that followed were released by labels like PIAS, Wash House, Music For Freaks, Select, Anorak, Trapez Ltd., Moodmusic Ltd., until their latest Revolution EP released for Morris Audio in August 2006.
After his last work in Eclat, Giulio decided to leave the project in order to focus himself on Scary Grant, his solo-project born at the beginning of 2006. The first Scary Grant release was in December 2006 for Lo Fi Stereo, together with dadaBleep (Frankfurt) on the EP Crash/Almost Crash. In November 2007 the german label Hi Freaks has released the Lacona EP containing the tracks What You Ask For and Lacona. Some more tunes are about to come on Hi Freaks (a remix of a track of Laszlo vs.
Goldfish un der Dulz), on Lo Fi Stereo in february 2008 (Strawberries EP, including Eclat & Prudo Alfa Romero remix) and on San Francisco’s Om Records that will release the amazing Chickens On The Wing track.
