Current line-up: Marenne - vocals Jukka Jylli - bass Esa Lilja - drums Altti Uhlenius - guitar Mikko Ojanen - keyboards Saunabadh was founded in Ähtäri in Osthrobotnia (central Finland). Throughout the 1990s the band had several line-ups and continuous gigging around Finland, and during the decade it grew to be a main rock project for its composer and drummer Esa Lilja. In the turn of the 21st century Saunabadh released two EPs – Saunabadh (1999) and Iku-Turso (2001) – for its own label Foz the Dwarf.

The band took a total break in 2003–2008, and is now back with new line-up and energy. The first long play record is scheduled to be released in 2010. Meanwhile, the band’s myspace-player (www.myspace.com/saunabadh) presents up-to-date clips from recent live shows. Saunabadh is at is best on live gigs. Pure hectic, total psychedelic and progressive live performances run usually between one and three hours and leave no one cold.

The repertoire reaches from original compositions (classics such as ‘Österbotten’ and ‘I lay in the Dark’) to a wide range of heavily re-arranged progressive and psychedelic rock OF the 1960s and 1970s. Arrangements include pieces from, for example, the Beatles, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, the Who and even ABBA. In total, the bands repertoire includes dozens of tracks of pure psychedelic hectic chaos!! http://www.myspace.com/saunabadh Read more on Last.fm.
