All other bands called "Safe" are unsafe. 2.Safe is a project produced and arranged by John Amatiello, Kristian Lundin, Max Martin, Alexander Cronlund, and Herbie Crichlow. Single: "Love Is All Wee Need". 3.SAFE from Cinisello Balsamo, Italy, started in January of 2004 by an idea of Dario and Marco. Dario plays bass in FUMBLES IN LIFE (hardcore Straight Edge veterans) and he was initiated in 2005 by his spiritual master after years of study and service about Krishna consciousness. His spiritual name is Dharmavit dasa. SAFE is a great rockish and melodic hardcore band with different influences.
The lyrics are a mix of spirituality and personal experiences. They're not only "Krishna conscious" but they're general truth that everybody can like. An atheist, or anybody, could take something from them. They're not like dogmatic or anything.
With faith and help of "Not Of This World" Records they've been able to put out a mini cd "Make a move" that's the very best that could have been produced given the limited finances, which is a perfect blend of pop, rock and a light trace of punk; it has four tracks with catching melodies. The purpose is writing music that goes beyond the traditional standards of hardcore, a mix of melody and more rockin' rhythms along with very introspective and spiritual lyrics. Their first full-length album called "Not Alone" contains ten intense songs between hardcore, punk rock, pop rock and a touch of ancient indian sound. Recorded by Vinny La Rosa at "Cool Life" Studio, it's a big production with a lot of emotive feelings and important messages about vegetarian lifestyle, pollution, self-spiritual realization... http://www.myspace.com/safeinmeditation 3. SAFE is just Chris Edley, multi-media artist and apparent poultry enthusiast. Story goes that after living in New York, doing art for all the MGMT videos and even co-directing Saul Williams' "Convict Colony" clip, dude went broke and moved back to the East Bay, where he made the SAFE album in a basement with limited means.
