After many years of live experiences they started recording their debut CD “New Blues”. Twelve originals revealed a new blues sound that has influences from jazz, rock and funk. Guitarist Lars Müller turned out to be a master of his instrument creating the perfect crossover between blues and jazz. Snowy White appears as special quest on the album, playing his classic “Goldtop” Les Paul guitar.
Nico Wayne Toussaint from France plays Harmonica on the album. The CD “New Blues” was released March 2011. The live shows of the band are energetic and the free approach of the blues keeps their performances unique and their reputation growing in the clubs and festival circuit. Many years of touring with Snowy White has increased the interest in Ruud Weber and his band.
With a new CD there’s a new chapter starting in his musical career. The Band Ruud Weber (vocal/bass) With the rare combination of vocals and bass, Ruud is leading the band. Years of experiences on stages around the world, made him into the bandleader he is. As the songwriter he’s also the creative drive behind the band. Besides his current role as the singer, bass player and songwriter in The Snowy White Blues Project, he has backed up artists like Mick Taylor (Rolling Stones) Tony Vega (USA), Barry McCabe/Albatross (Irl) and Nico Wayne Toussaint (Fr.). Lars Müller (guitar/vocal) Guitarist Lars Müller has developed his style by studying jazz and blues for years.
This combined with years of live playing makes him the unique guitarist he is. He perfected his crossover style in the blues tradition of Albert, Freddie and BB King but also the modern players like Larry Carlton and Robben Ford. Besides playing guitar he sings some of the songs that he writes for the band. Rob ter Maat (drums) This groove drummer comes from a legacy of great players in his family. He literally grew up between drums and sticks in his father’s drum shop.
He plays all styles from funk, rock, pop, and jazz to country. Always keeping the groove as the main ingredients in his playing. Besides playing with thousands of Dutch bands he has backed up artist like Danny Everet, Tony Vega (USA), Indonesian legend Tantowi and the first Motown recording Dutch artist Waylon.
