Aside from the music itself, Jenkees' videos are notable for his laid-back demeanor and always-friendly introduction, "Hello, YouTubes!" Jenkees typically explains the piece in the video either at the beginning or end of the video. He also provides motivational text and tips to others who make music. Jenkees' popularity grew significiantly after he was Dugg by a Digg.com user on March 17th 2007. His fans grew in number again after he was mentioned in a column by ESPN.com Page 2 writer Bill Simmons.

In June 2007, Jenkees was tapped to compose the theme to Simmons' podcast "The BS Report". The piece, titled "Derty", was later issued on his self-titled first album, which was made available for purchase on his website www.ronaldjenkees.com in July 2007. It was released on physical CD shortly thereafter and the album also became available on iTunes. In June 2009, Jenkees was featured on the STS9 album, "Peaceblaster: The New Orleans Make It Right Remixes," producing a remix of "Beyond Right Now". Ronald Jenkees continues to post videos on YouTube and has released his second album, Disorganized Fun, as both download and physical CD on his website.

Some of his songs are also featured in the game "Before the Echo" (formerly known as "Sequence"; available on Steam). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
