Roj Karim was born and raised in the beautiful Kurdish city of Sulymania in south Kurdistan. Already at the age of 4 years old Roj began singing constantly at home and dreamed of his own solo album in the future. In 1985 Roj started to study music at a music club and began to play the keyboard. 3 years later he started a band called “Kozik” with four other artists.
Roj was the leading singer and played the keyboard. After releasing 4 albums the band separated and Roj moved to Europe where he began his solo career. In 2001 Roj released his own solo album called “Karwaneeki dur” which means “a long caravan” in Kurdish. From the album 4 video music was made and was frequently shown on the Kurdish satellites channels.
