"Roger" is Robert Demidziuk. He collected his first musical expiriences in several metal and rock bands. In the years between 1997 and 2002 he was part of the band "The Pronicol Band". It was a journey where several musical influences were mixed with focus on electronic music.

After several gigs in Poland "The Pronicol Band" disbanded. Since that period Robert started recording his first sounds at home. This was the beginning of the „Skala” project. Thogether with Marek Sadowski (drummer of the "The Pronicol Band" band) they recorded the album "Skalkulator" (2004-2005). This release was licensed by Under Water Music (www.underwatermusic.of.pl). The cooperation between Robert and Marek was slowed down because of Mareks relocation to the UK, where he is living untill now.

But, there are still tracks in progress which will be released soon. The project "Roger" is Roberts way to connect acustic and electronic sounds. It is an experimantal way to reach new musical expressions. Robert is playing guitar, bass, percussions and is combining these instrumnets with the "Vermona Formation 1" and a polish drum mashine "Elektra ERM-32". This very reduced equipment, combined with Roberts unique way of improvisation, causes a very specificaly rough sound mixture.

Several parts are recorded spontaneously in different places and set together in his studio later. It is a game with the dynamics of the regulated world of the machines and the surprising world of life. His goal is to build organic sounds which lead the listener through differnt places of his sound cosmos. Some people would say it is: Nu-Jazz? Acid-Jazz? Jazz? What would you say?
