The powerfull stonersound is based on a tight rythm section - Stephan´s pumping basslines and Jari´s unrivalled drumming. It is completed by a beast of a guitar and Miro´s passionate shouting. Influenced by bands like Motörhead, Turbonegro or Kyuss the band wrote their first songs and before they hit the stage for the first time, they released their untiteled debut CD (including songs like "One Last Killed Summer", "The Year Of The Comet" or the ass-kickin´ coverversion of the Stooges-Classic "Search & Destroy"). This CD, released in autumn 1999, has been sold more than 1100 times up to now.
The fame of the Queen had spread, without the help of record companies or distributors. This record proved to be the beginning of an odysse, and before the old millenium had passed, Rodeo Queen could already look back at more than sixty gigs all over Germany and Eastern Europe among them supports for Dee Dee Ramone, Payola, Hammerhead and Karma To Burn. Between August 2001 and March 2002, tired of being on the road all the time, the band decided to take a break and to collect their thoughts. While Miro spent his time in South-East-Asia the other members of the band worked feverishly on new material, which was arranged and completed after the singers return. In July 2002 Rodeo Queen entered a small studio to do the Pre-Recording-Sessions for their new Album. The work should take some time cause of touring with two finish bands called Disgrace and Screamin Stukkas.
Back at home they entered the studio again and recorded their second album which will be released in summer 2003. I was one of the lucky guys, who have already heard this shit and I tell you it´s gonna be... well.... there´s no word for that.
