The songs are a mix of pensiveness and optimism drawn from real personal experiences; they are sweetened by vocals from Iranzu Baker, a singer whom Rob met in Amsterdam during the writing of the EP. Summer and autumn 2010 will be spent promoting the release through live shows in both the Netherlands and the UK. Rob Warren grew up in the South West of England, away from the city, close to the coast. He recorded and performed in various line-ups in his teens, then In 2008 left the UK to travel Europe, experience life and grow musically. He played music with many different people in many different countries and busked the streets of countless European city’s.
At the end of 2009 he settled in Amsterdam to focus on his music and make use of the inspiration collected on his travels. During this time he ran into singer Iranzu Baker, born in the UK but also living in Amsterdam. They started performing together and recorded 'Rise' in various spaces around the city. Rob Warren is an intimate performer capable of capturing an audience and holding onto them throughout a show. His songs are real, he writes about what is going on in his life, whether its good or bad.
