Rise NYC is a mixed gender affair that features Shelly on hookey bass + dramatic vocals 'dark and sweet' and Mr.

underground & Brooklyn ring-master/ Pat Field's 'stylist to the stars' Die J! Mars + programming & guitar. All growing in the East Village/Williamsburg music scene that has spawned so many gold and platinum artists of late in their realm (think Scissor Sisters, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, LCD Soundsystem, etc.) RISE NYC has been inspired by a variety of great artists although it does not sound like anything else, it's classic. Working alongside legendary music heavyweights like producer Jim Sclavunos of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Kid Congo Powers (Nick Cave, The Cramps, and The Gun Club), Supa DJ Dmitri formerly of Deee-Lite, and Genesis P-Orridge of Throbbing Gristle, It is sure to blow up soon!They have put together a 10 song album, Mise en Scène, that puts the sound of NYC 2005 into music. Their live show is a multi-media experience.
