Richard "Richey" Hackett (born July 2nd 1983) is a British singer-songwriter and musician. Hackett was born in Wordsley, West Midlands, and raised in the small town of Kingswinford. His primary instrument is the guitar but, due to the lack of having a backing band, he was forced to become efficient with piano, synthesisers, bass and drums. As such, all instruments featured in his recordings are played by him.

Hackett's vocal style ranges between low, Bowie-esque tenor and a higher, aggressive tone that is characterized by his use of multi-tracking to create a larger vocal sound. To date he has recorded 8 albums and 2 EPs. He is currently signed to Vulpiano, an independent collective label.
