A way for me to reinvent myself and get new legs as an artist. As I was looking for a co-writer/producer, I put some feelers out to my good friend and longtime personal engineer John Ellis. He said I had to check out a couple studio titans he had gone to Berklee College of Music with named Dave Fraser and Neil Goldberg. They were songwriters and sound designers in New York City that cranked out audio for TV shows, commercials, video games, films and records.
I was already familiar with their playing, since Neil had been in the Canadian speed metal band ANNIHILATOR (Roadrunner) and Dave had played with GARY RICHRATH (GRP Crescendo) from REO SPEEDWAGON. I loved their stuff and once we got rolling there was no stopping us. We forged on for 2 years, honing and shaping our sound until we finally took a break to knock out a couple other projects we had on hold. When we came back to the songs with fresh ears, we loved what we heard and we knew it was time to get them out to you.
So rather than deal with manufacturing CD copies and inserts and everything, we decided to go directly to iTunes and include the album artwork as a PDF that you can download and insert into a jewel case if you decide to burn the tracks to CD. We got the name Redlist because it’s another name for the endangered species list. But even though we started these songs 6 years ago, we feel they’ve stood the test of time. So whether you download them, burn them to a disc or who knows what – make sure you crank them way up.
I bring you Redlist! Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
