ReSKAte takes the Jamaican rhythm ska and its descendents (reggae, rocksteady, dub); which combined with different aspects of rock makes a entertaining but powerful music esthetic. It was born in Ecuador (South America) as a group of high school mates who got together to create something unique, mixing music elements of various countries and styles. In 2004 they released its first self-produced record named "DEMOlicion", which introduced local people to the young band. ReSKAte was A year later they released "Seguir Asi EP" which created a larger audience for the band as their music was played in local radios. ReSKAte broke up in October 2005 and they played in some reunion concerts through the years, but starting 2012 they entered the studio to record "Introspectivo", a conceptual album that gathers old unrecorded songs and puts them together to tell a story. After playing some shows to promote the album they decide to get back together to continue the project that had been paused for over six years. Read more on Last.fm.
