Random (Mega Ran)

Random, AKA Mega Ran, can probably best be described as the Bruce Wayne of Hip-Hop. By day, he's a mild-mannered former school teacher, and by night, he is a rabble-rousing, freedom-fighting, bad-guy slaying emcee's emcee. A rhyme veteran, Philadelphia native and Phoenix transplant, Random's bars are filled with all of the heartache, pain, triumph, tragedy and fun that come with everyday living. Random's RAHM Nation debut "The Call," hit stores to rave reviews, and helped to establish Ran as one of underground hip-hop's up and comers. In 2007, he released his Mega Ran album, featuring music from the popular NES game Mega Man.

This album got the attention of Capcom, who supported him as his status rose to one of the most prominent of the nerdcore rappers. He has been prolific ever since, releasing other games-themed albums including Mega Ran 9, Forever Famicom (with K-Murdock of Panacea), and Black Materia (a Final Fantasy themed album). In 2011, he quit his job as a teacher to pursue music full time. Read more on Last.fm.
