Railway Chess is an ongoing project from Auckland, New Zealand, which has its roots mainly in ambient, electronic soundscapes & aural experimentation. Its core member is Cylkk/Hadley B, & collaborators, such as "the Big Headed One" (Geoff B) and "alien6" (Luke B) both have been involved often in the past. Railway Chess is an ongoing project from Auckland, New Zealand, which has its roots mainly in ambient, electronic soundscapes & aural experimentation. Its core member is Cylkk/Hadley B, & collaborators, such as "the Big Headed One" (Geoff B) and "alien6" (Luke B) both have been involved often in the past. There have been two official releases so far under the Railway Chess moniker: 2001's "Safe Again, Without You" and 2003's "Machines Have Feelings Too" Railway Chess has performed live several times in Auckland between 2004 and present, mostly recently in March 2006 in collaboration with local electronic artist The Difference Engine. The projects third release "Chasing Patterns On The Wall" has been in production since 2004, rumoured to be a double album, with both Luke B and Geoff B making an appearance.
