Radio Caroline is the name of two groups. 1. Radio Caroline was a Japanese rock band consisting of three members, formed in 2003. Their musical style was loud, upbeat and reminiscent of the members’ previous bands. Most of their lyrics were written by guitarist/vocalist PATCH, but ever since the release of their second full-length album ALL-OUT, drummer Kusube Shinya also wrote and provided vocals for some of their songs. The band was signed to Columbia Music Entertainment during all their years of activities, their last release being the compilation album PORTRAIT ~THE BEST OF Radio Caroline~.

In March 2009, the band announced their intention to cease all activities after finishing their DESPERATE 7 ROCK 'N' ROLL NIGHTS tour the following summer. During their six years as a band, Radio Caroline released four full studio albums, two EPs and three singles. Radio Caroline was the very first Offshore Radio Station in the UK and came on the air at Easter 1964 and stay on the air and till march 1968. And till may 1964 with one ship and later with 2 ships one in the North of England at the Ilse Of Mand and one in the South of the UK. When both ships where twoyed to the port of Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and did stay there and till 1972. The very first ship was scraped And the second one the MV Mi Amigo did go back to Sea at the Dutch Coast near Scheveningen and afther some bad times and troubles Radio Caroline cam back to the air.

On the 29 th of august 1974 the MV Mi Amigo was towyed back home the her old place and the UK Coast and stay there and till she did sunk in march 1980 (The did call the ship " The Old Lady " because the ship was not able to enter any port in the UK or eles where she would never come free again and go back to Sea) the is the reason she was so old.
