He teamed up with the hottest group in Mississippi, 754 BOYZ. The super group included: R-ll, Skinny Boy, 2K, Shortie Bubble, MooToo, and Mike C. In 1999, under the leadership of Torris Walls p/k/a Bull, they released an outstanding album, “In Da Streets”. In 2001, they released their second and highly anticipated album, “Hold-N-It-Down”.
Both albums sold unbelievable copies nationally. Despite the downfall of the group, R-ll started releasing music on his own. In 2006, he dropped the mixtape ”GameBreakers”, which took the city by storm. Following the success, “Underground Overtime” was released in 2007 and “Underground Overtime 2” in 2008.
They both sold thousands of copies. In 2009, the Shaw, Mississippi native release the hottest mixtape he’s ever done, “Da Last of Da Old Me”. It included music for everyone and feedback was distributed by young and old. Months later, he formed a dynamic duo with Archie Beatz.
They released two albums within a year! “Puzzle Pieces” and “Puzzle Pieces Extended”. Currently, R-ll has joined Ragga Knotts Entertainment and has officially released his new single “The Lightman” Aug 3rd, 2010. He is also working on new music, a certified mixtape and an album to be released; titles unknown. R-ll is gifted and in his prime.
He’s performed with other artists such as, T-boz of TLC, Yo Gotti, David Banner, Playa Fly, Mr. Magic, and more. He’s been underground overtime and it’s now time for him to stand tall on the grass. The heat from his music will make the sun go down at 12 noon.
