After being featured on two of DJ Mick Boogie's nationally distributed mixtapes in his early twenties, Quotes began to get serious about his musical passion. After a few years of practice and development, he and TreTracks started the creative process for his first solo album titled Making Due. With their influences ranging from rock and jazz to 80s and 90s hip hop, this duo plans to creatively leave their own unique mark in the universe of music. TreTracks' soulful sample-based production, with rich baselines and neck-snapping drums, definately provide the perfect soundscape for Quotes Dawson's clever wordplay and thought-provoking concepts. Making Due was released online as a free digital album on March 4, 2011.
Within three weeks of its release, the album has been featured on numerous blogs and websites. With plans of following in the same footsteps as hip hop producer and emcee duos such as Gangstarr, Reflection Eternal, and Pete Rock and CL Smooth...
