Also delivering an exceptional performance on several tracks is British producer and Gorillaz bassist Al Mobbs, who the Prince met through a mutual friend at a party. The combined effect is the creation of a fantastic richness of detail in the musical underscoring of all ten numbers. Electric and Magnetic “The contrast of coolness and warmth goes hand in hand through the songs, and the result is an almost electric atmosphere as the two fronts meet. A storm is on the way. Electric and magnetic.” This is how journalist Sune Holm Pedersen describes his meeting with the new, gold-plated Prins Nitram musical enterprise.
The project consists of Prins Nitram’s alter ego – one man who fills all the roles on the track list. In the words of the royal gentleman himself, it all came about when “the band didn’t show up for rehearsal”, and Prins Nitram realized he could actually handle all the instruments himself - and at the same time, besides! Prins Nitram’s Clones Any doubts as to whether Prins Nitram is a unique phenomenon on the Danish rock scene quickly vanish when you experience him live. On stage he is accompanied by a band consisting of video-projected cloned versions of the Prince, which fill out the sound palette with everything from drums to xylophone. Prins Nitram’s exceptional talent for conducting himself and his clones gives the audience the feeling of intimate involvement with an exceptionally tight, good-sounding band.
Simply stated, here is an artist who provides space for autonomy and playfulness, yet leaves nothing to chance. http://www.prinsnitram.dk/ Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
