JOSE CARLOS ANSELMO FLORES Jose's career started when he was eleven years old in primary school.

Since then he has been dedicated to stringed instruments like electric and acoustic basses, guitar and violin. In his twenties he got involved in several blues bands in Spain and soon after, in the flamenco world, toured Spain with names like Samara Vargas, Tato Ramirez or Santiago Espinosa. He also developed his jazz technique common of the gypsy Manouche style (Django Reinhardt) in both guitar and violin. At twenty nine he came to Ireland and soon he started playing with Wally Page and Johnny Mulhern, collaborated with Sean Tyrrell, Oleg Ponomarev (Kesha), toured and recorded with Johnny McEvoy, (which album features Sharon Shannon and Maurice Lennon) Sami Moukaddem, the Cuban Orishas, Cuarteto Floridita (salsa), and many others. Recently Jose has been recording with the renowned Cuban born trumpet player Alberto Martinez (Mark Anthony, Jennifer Lopez) on his new project, which includes respected Lazara Lopez, daughter of the world known bassist Cachaito Lopez (Buena Vista Social Club) as well as gigging with Craig Walker, front man of "Archive" and "Power of Dreams".
