Post Rebellion

Though we are a relatively young band, we already have a rich history. It all started in January 2007. Thijmen de Langen and Glenn Thomas came with a concept called "Rebel Machine". Though we are a relatively young band, we already have a rich history. It all started in January 2007. Thijmen de Langen and Glenn Thomas came with a concept called "Rebel Machine". At that moment, Glenn had quit his band "Dead Ends" and teamed up with Thijmen to clear the way for some heavy rock.

Glenn just needed a heavier playing style, because "Dead Ends" was not the right thing. As a bassist, another Dead Ends-member joined the band. Still needing to fill some places up, Thijmen and Glenn decided to take Emile Hogendoorn as a vocalist, after he had repeatedly asked if he could join. A few days later, a drummer was found and let in. The band changed names to "Zerotone", due to differing personalities and influences of the band members. The band had decided to start with playing covers, and to begin with writing songs when they all would feel ready.

This proved to be earlier than expected and the band wrote it's first song in april 2007, called "Zero Tolerance". After having had a few gigs, in August, situations in the band were stirring. Emile doubted his actions as a singer, thinking he would really come to life as a bassist. This had the nasty side-effect of the current bass player getting "kicked" out of Zerotone. The name again was changed, becoming "SinSlaved".

What they unfortunately didn't expect, the bass-player 's exit caused our drummer to seriously doubt his position. He quit the band, leaving with vague reasons. Glenn, Thijmen and Emile were left behind. However, a new drummer was found the same day the other had left. Joris Van Veen joined the guys.

What first started as a Heavy Metal band dramatically changed styles to rock, with main influences changing from Lamb of God into Rage Against The Machine. Glenn became the singer and the name finally was changed into "Post Rebellion". Things went very fast with this the new line-up. Already after two months we recorded our first song called "Slave of Mass", a month later followed by the song "Post Rebellion". Our first gig was played at Haarlem, together with two other bands.

This gig had driven us to put more faith in our band and so we kept on trying to write better songs and playing more gigs. We have Struggled, but we're back in the game. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
