(2008-Present) Ponyta is an idiosyncratic and acclaimed American experimental rock band, formed in Rocky River, Ohio in 2008. Fronted by Westlake's Dylan Baldi and with percussion by Perry McAninch of Rocky River, the two-man band work together like peanut butter and jelly. Although grounded in an indie rock/alternative approach to rock music, Ponyta known for their lush, multi-layered arrangements, spacey lyrics and bizarre song titles. They are also acclaimed for their eccentric digitally created work, which typically feature strange samples, obscure references, enigmatic characters, and people from their very lives. Ponyta has produced one album so far, titled Fireblast after one of its stronger moves.

Dylan has been quoted saying "Tail Whip is getting old," on the subject of evolution to Rapidash. In 2009, the Tri-C Rockoff in the greater Cleveland area passed Ponyta into the first round of a competition sponsored by Verizon and others.
