Plasticoma started late in 2006, after Dark Templar broke up and front man Jaco Brewis of Dark Templar decided to start an electro gothic project called Plasticoma. November 2006 “Dieser Traum” was recorded at Jazzworx studio in Johannesburg, this was also to be the first german song for Plasticoma. Produced, engineered and mastered by Robin Kohl. Early in 2007 music video for “Dieser Traum” was made by Emma Colcutt, this video is available for viewing on the Plasticoma website. During the duration of 2007 almost thirty songs were written, some written off and some more refined. Most of the early material can be described as darkwave, but near the end of 2007 Plasticoma started experimenting with more modern synths. This has lead to a more refined dark dancy sound, but keeping the orignal dark content that can be found throughout the music. Mid 2007 the song “Dieser Traum” was featured on the Vampiria Volume 1 cd, a promotional cd compiled by Marek Dabrowski AKA DJ Passanoir. 2008, Pieter Heyneke joins the band as vocals / keyboards, Pieter has contributed to the band making it perhaps darker than before with his eerie vocals on tracks such as “The Tragedy” and “You f* me up”.

Currently Plasticoma is gigging, formulating the set as we go on and ultimately trying to achieve a powerful set that will hopefully move people. Plasticoma is a fusion between darkwave / industrial-ebm, if it can be called that focusing mainly on emotions such as anger, depression, sadness and madness. Plasticoma draws its inspiration from the world around, perhaps just a darker version. Exploiting all dark emotions and converting them to songs.

Bands Plasticoma likes: In strict confidence, Wümpscut, Diorama, Diary of Dreams, Velvet Acid Christ, Goth Minister, Fields of the Nephilum.and more.... See you at the shows.
