Who he? Twin sibling to Lone Pigeon, Pip Dylan's musical career took the acoustic country route instead of the rock 'n' roll highway taken by the pidge. Starting out with a two year hermitage on the island of Mull with only a mouthie, he then hauled his half size double bass across much of continental Europe at the bidding of the Skuobhie Dubh Orchestra, becoming proficient both in slap bass and blisters. Starting out with a two year hermitage on the island of Mull with only a mouthie, he then hauled his half size double bass across much of continental Europe at the bidding of the Skuobhie Dubh Orchestra, becoming proficient both in slap bass and blisters. Over the summer of '92, Pip Dylan let his hands heal whilst mastering the five string banjo. A year later, he'd got his mitts on a guitar, and was soon able to flat and finger pick with the best of them. Then came a trip to Spain and flamenco was added to an already impressive range of guitar styles. Sickening really. In 1999, his first album outing on Fence entitled "ain't a classical piece, not by a long shot" set a new acoustic standard for all Fencers to strive towards.

His second outing "of all the things i can eat, i'm always pleased with a piece of cheese" is the country counterpoint to the Lone Pigeon's "concubine rice". Swap Beatles and Barret influences for Wainwright and Dylan, and you might get some idea of what twins can achieve thru' sheer accident of birth.
