Hailing over the West End of Portland, Maine, Pinsky was four twenty-somethings with the fire for music, fun, and a party. Guitarist Pete Vachon, Bassist Adam Croteau, and Drummer Andre Tranchemontagne moved into their West End apartment in the Fall of 2007 and transformed their living space into a fully functioning practice and recording studio. The three teamed up with Guitarist Jeff Roberts and began writing and recording their EP "Two for the Road." "Two for the Road," grabbed the attention of friends, fans, and press with songs that touch on the energy of the Descendents and Able Baker Fox and has the thought and emotion of Brand New and American Football. Soon after its Spring release, Pinsky began playing throughout Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. As 2008 ended, Two for the Road" earned Pinsky 5th Best EP of 2008 by the Portland Phoenix. Bassist Adam Croteau was replaced by Mike Graton after this release. 2009 continued to show progress for the band.

The band recorded two new demos which which featured on the Spring release of the deluxe version of "Two For the Road," which also featured the music video for fan favorite "Beverly." They released their second album "Losing Touch" in 2011. The album featured improved production and further cemented their sound with influences of emo bands such as Brand New and American Football. They began playing shows around the NE United States afterwards. Their final release was in July 2012 with the "Weekends" EP. They broke up shortly after, but occasionally post on their Facebook page when they feel the need to. Mike Graton went on to play in the band Down To The Well.
