A unique artist creating poetic music that tells personal stories in a quirky, playful style. It's a music full of surprises, merging diverse genres in an unpredictable but coherent and imaginative way; it has passion and sense of humour, gentleness and a very intimate touch.  “In Doma” (2009) has to be listened to from beginning to end the same way one watches a movie, going on a journey full of suggestive imagery.  People have suggested similarities with Tori Amos and Kate Bush Read more on Last.fm
People have suggested similarities with Tori Amos and Kate Bush, but that only tells part of the story; this is very personal, skilfully composed and professionally produced music rich in unexpected twists, it’s film-track gone to the circus by way of street poetry. The orchestration is rich, the author's piano and voice weave the threads that hold it all together, surrounded by a carefully chosen palette of electro-acoustic instruments, with added colours from an array of toys. Difficult not to be charmed. History: Pianist, singer and composer. Studied in Italy and Hungary. From 1999 - collaboration with classical orchestras while also working on jazz, rock and progressive music. 2003 - "Early and Unknown Piano Pieces" album recorded for OgreOgress productions in the US, featuring unpublished works by Morton Feldman. 2004 - participation to the album "A Call for Silence" directed by Nicolas Collins for Sonic Arts Network (UK). 2007 - winner of the Premio Ciampi for songwriting, and performing at Café du Nord in San Francisco with Amy X Neuburg and Emily Bezar.

Mills College, Oakland, playing unpublished contemporary classical music as well as some of her own pieces. Invited by the Cuban Institute of Music to play at Roldan Theatre, Havana, + broadcast at Radio Progreso. Works of Morton Feldman performed at Conway Hall, London. 2008 - invited by Elliott Sharp to play with Mike Sarin at The Stone club run by John Zorn, New York. 2009 - Petrina's first Italian album "In Doma" featuring guests such as Elliot Sharp, Amy Kohn, Ascanio Celestini, widely reviewed and broadcasted internationally, also included in David Byrne's radio playlist.
