After releasing their debut CD "just us" in '95, pegtop made some changes when they introduced the very talented Matt Patrick (bass, vocals, and just about any instrument he decides to play) who added a new dimension with his vocal harmonies. In March of '97 pegtop released "The Great Reverse" and sold almost 3000 copies in that year. This CD was unique not only because of the homemade drums used to record it, but because it was primarily recorded in Terry's garage.
Three more CDs followed; “The Gift”, a Christmas CD, “run, run”, and “5Live”, a light hearted recording captured at The Coffee Shock, a Twin Cities coffeehouse. In late 2000, pegtop headed back to Third Ear Studios to record drum tracks for their sixth release, Counting Tree. Combining the studio recorded drum parts with other tracks recorded at Matt’s new home studio, the album was released in June of 2001. Pegtop's mission was always the same. To make creative music that honestly communicated their life experiences and their passion to live for Jesus Christ. Then, to bring their music to as many people as they could in hopes that those people will experience God's healing.
Their simple approach to music and ministry demonstrated the simplicity of the gospel. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
