Pedro Mo discovered hip hop in a central park in Lima, Peru when breakdancers and beatboxers filtered in to the South American underground approximately 10 years ago, creating the first and formatives waves of a contemporary Peruvian youth culture. He built his reputation on the fierce greestyle he willingly drops anywhere... anytime; he continues dominating with controversial social theory and a widely requested liberal ideology. Hip Hop is the voice of a disgruntled and disillusioned WORLDWIDE youth culture. In South America, hip hop still resides in the streets, as opposed to the studios or music television.

At 14 years of age Pedro Mo was immersed in El Movimiento HipHop Peruano and influenced by groups like Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, KRS-1, and The Fugees amongst others. The studio technology available in Third World Peru, however, did not follow as quickly as the creative impulse. Mo's first recordings are the definition of lo-fi. With one mic and a two-track recording program, so began the future legend of Hip Hop Peruano.

To this day the mixtape formate (known as a "demo" en Espanol) is more pervasive, as production software is entirely too expensive for the Third World marke... but as the movement grows, so Pedromo leads. Pedro Mo is one of the most respected emcees in the South American Underground with regular audiences in the 500+ range despite virtually no media support for hip hop. He has spent the last five years performing in ALL POSSIBLE capacities and venues including, but not limited to, street battles, night clubs, music festivals, school fairs, political conventions, jam sessions, poetry slams, art exhibits, theater productions and with audiences ranging from 10 people to 40,000. He has graced the stages of notable Latino artists Gustavo Cerati of Soda Estereo (AR), Radikal People (PE), Saturno y Tapia Rabia of Tiro de Gracia (perhaps Chile's most well known).
