The name Oratnitza refers to a ritual cleansing by fire, performed before ‘Shrovetide’. The style is even more unusual - a mixture of Bulgarian folklore, Aboriginal motifs (executed on didgeridoo), dubstep, drum ‘n’ bass and religious chanting. The band started as a collective of street musicians, but their musical quality soon got them on stage of numerous Bulagrian music clubs. In February 2010 they won the Sofia Fusion Rally.
