Oranjestas vibrant, free flowing and catchy sound is long overdue and destined to become a staple on the college and pop/rock radio circuits. In February of 2006 the band released their self-titled debut album. This disc should be cataloged as a great example of the early development of Oranjesta. It features songs with influences all over the map - anywhere from rock to jam to hip-hop to jazz.
They realized that the music was good but seemed underdeveloped in their eyes. So in the summer of 2006 the band decided to take things more seriously and go off in a new, more solid direction. They changed the lineup from having one lead singer to sharing lead vocals between the guitarist, Dave and keyboardist, Alex. The band's new sound is much more polished and thought out.
They still blend many different influences together but in a more controlled fashion. Their next album is in the works right now and is set to be finished in early 2007. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
