The first stable squad was formed on winter 2006 by Panas – lead guitars, (616) – turntables and electronics, Jarek Sadowski (Jerry) (also Painfields) – drums, C.Hell – rhythm guitars, Sebastian Baltruszewicz – bass, and G.Zas – vocals. Opya played it’s first gig in February 2007 in Club Rock (Warsaw). Shortly after that Sebastian left the band, and was later replaced by Jakub Serafin. After playing for few more months, Opya had the opportunity to support Acid Drinkers in London club Underworld.
So far that was their best act. After playing in London, (616) left the group, because he wanted to play different kind of music. Rest of the guys decided that they wouldn’t be looking for his replacement. On April 2008 the band’s first demo was recorded.
It contains four tracks, and it’s currently available for download and purchasing. The lyrics on the CD was all written by G.Zas, and are introducing his view on social and religious deviations. Currently the band is distributing the demo, writing and recording more material, and preparing to play more gigs. Read more on Last.fm.
