Occupy the Sky is an American Electronicore/Post-Hardcore band from Tuckerman, Arkansas. Founded in 2006 by members Joshua Adams, Justin Ingram, Gage Davidson, and Brett Lowe, they were originally known as Sheismurder…and boasted a metalcore sound, influenced by bands such as As I Lay Dying and Trivium. The group played and wrote songs together all throughout high school, and started performing live in the Fall of 2009. Davidson left the band briefly after heading to college, and Jeremiah Shelby was recruited to fill the role of frontman.

The band then changed their name to There’s Always Revenge. Davidson returned to the band some months later after being kicked out of college. The group continued to write songs and practice regularly before going on a hiatus for about a year. During this hiatus, Ingram and Davidson recorded a short album of techno/pop songs under the name of M2F2.

The project was short-lived, however, as the two decided to blend their new-found passion for electronic music into their love of metal. They reunited with Adams and Shelby, and took the name Occupy the Sky (Lowe left the band in 2013 to join a band with his brother, known as Painted in Motion). The band now has an electronic-post-hardcore sound influenced by Attack Attack!, Asking Alexandria, and Issues. Their EP, entitled Existence is currently awaiting release.
