Band members: Jeff Eargle - vocals Chris Byers - guitar Greg Bolton - bass Matt Warren - drums Fusing energy with a multitude of musical inspirations, hard rock band Obraskai of West Columbia, South Carolina, charges ahead in the East Coast music scene and beyond. Fans of bands like Chevelle, A Perfect Circle, Coheed and Cambria, and Shinedown will find a familiar style with a new twist in “Farewell to the Former,” Obraskai’s sophomore effort released in August 2010, and will be blown away by the emotional power emanating from their live show. Started by a group of high school friends and supported by a trail of accomplishments behind them, this powerhouse quintet seeks to break through the surface into the mainstream. They’ve been building a rock empire from their very first release of “This World's in Dire Need of Heroes” in September of 2008, and the Columbia music community voted them Best Band of the Year 2008 and their debut album Best Album of the Year 2008 in Columbia’s Free Times Magazine, as well as leading them to be 2008 Champions in Rock 93.5FM’s “Locals Live” competition.

Opening shows for national acts such as Anberlin, Taproot, Dirty Heads, and Columbia’s own Sent By Ravens, among many others, brought Obraskai out into the public eye even more since then, allowing them to play to thousands of appreciative new fans. Fans can look forward to seeing Obraskai trek up and down the East Coast of the United States for the second time next Spring, playing new songs from their upcoming full-length album. With roots planted firmly in the South Eastern music scene the band anticipates branching out from being an unsigned band on the East Coast to anywhere their growing fan base takes them, and seeking bigger, better shows and festivals all around the country.
