In Equador, South America you can find synths, samplers and drum machines brought to you by Nova Pulsar, a Synthpop act that shines with its own light. By the end of the year 2004, the original name of this South American Synthpop act was Pulsar, inspired in the meaning of the word pulsar, “celestial source of bursts of radio waves”. Starting like this, a musical project, with a fresh and original sound leaded by Pulsar - Roberto Alvear. After approximately 2 years of constantly creating and musical evolution in the Synthpop genre, Roberto improves his sounds and changes the name to Nova Pulsar, after these changes, songs like “Sentimientos Grises” , “Fantasma” and “Save Me” are born. In these new works of Roberto Alvear, you find a mix of musical approaches such as Electropop, Synthpop, New Wave, also the collaboration and remixes of friends from different Electropop and Synthpop acts around the world such as Carved Souls, Ecstatic Mood, The Rorschach Garden, Tour de Force, Insular, Tecnoman SF, Deimos, Dossiers Secrets, Electromancer, Agedum, F.O.K., Ignacio Redard, DiMagno, among others, and even rock stars from Argentina like Tweety Gonzalez (Fito Paez, Soda Stereo, Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas) and Daniel Sais (Soda Stereo), Rudie Martinez (Adicta) and Capri. All this is part of the new Nova Pulsar’s sound is heading to.
