Nobody Knew
Beginning as an acoustic project throughout the earlier years of high school, Nobody Knew was formed by Eric Minardi and Cedric Gingras-Hill in Mississauga, Ontario. The two wrote and recorded a bunch of acoustic demos but never took the music they wrote very seriously. It was not until drummer Julien Jacques came into the picture that the band started to grow as a whole and took their music much more seriously. The two wrote and recorded a bunch of acoustic demos but never took the music they wrote very seriously. It was not until drummer Julien Jacques came into the picture that the band started to grow as a whole and took their music much more seriously. Julien helped Eric and Cedric record an EP and later on the three began writing music as a full band.
In the summer of 2005, Nobody Knew went in the studio to record their second disc titled Burnhope Dr.
which was later released around the Christmas holidays. It was not until after the release of this album that Cedric decided to step down as bassist and member of the band. The band had tried to maintain its stature even as Cedric was living most his days in Ottawa but eventually distance became too hard to overcome. A good friend of the band, Malo Bourgon, took over the position as Nobody Knews bassist.. Over a couple years Nobody Knew has grown as a band and has played many shows across the greater Toronto area with bands such as Wheels On The Bus, The Stick Up, The Goodbye Celebration, The Flatliners, Dear Jane I, Broken Glass Wings and many more.
Having moved from the 905 area to different parts of the 519 area, Nobody Knew plans to continue playing across both areas as well as others. Plans to record a new album in the next year have been set and the writing of new songs continues as does Nobody Knew's story. Read more on Last.fm.
