Nityalila Saulo is the daughter of owner and proprietor of Khumbmela bags, Yadu Saulo. She first picked up her dad's guitar at the early age of seven. At fourteen, she started exploring her writing abilities and by sixteen, she had written her first original composition. In October 2001, right after graduating from college (PSID), Nityalila started performing in bars and cafes around metro Manila as a solo artist. In 2003, the Nityalila "band/group" was born where they played regular gigs in respectable bars, cafes, restos, events and productions around Metro Manila, like the late Sanctum Unmasct, 70's Bistro, Bistro 110, El Pueblo, Rock Radio Cafe, 70's Bistro, Conspiracy Garden Cafe, Freedom Bar, Crateri, Bistro 1055, Millenia Bar, Bigskymind, Myrics, Culture Club, Wow Philippines, Neknek Mo productions, Sunday-Grabe-Sunday Productions, Bitaw Productions, Fete dela Musique Manila, Fiesta Mundo, etc. Currently joining her on stage are members Miko Aguilar (of Bitaw!Collective) on bass, Pacoy Aniag (Sessionist for Reggae Mistress) on lead guitar and new member and also Nityalila's younger brother, Vaishnava Saulo on drums. Today, Nityalila has grown into a more mature songwriter-singer with more than forty original songs under her sleeves that focuses on the Absolute Truth, social issues, political issues, environmental awareness and most especially, love. Her music showcases an array of influences such as folk, pop, alternative, reggae, blues, opera, rock, jazz, and world.
