NightFlight today 2011: New album ‘Nobody’s Home’ released May 5th with guest rap vocalist MC Tia on two tracks. The tracks of funky soul are creating a mirror of reflexion of the time that has passed since ‘A Great Relief’ from 2008. The continuing story about NightFlight: Originally, NightFlight was formed in 1984 prolonging af project from Christmas 1983. Funky music with soul, pop, rock and a tiny bit of experiment involved. Lots of horns and vocals. The inspiration came from Earth, Wind & Fire, Tower Of Power, Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder – and still does. Through the years came some changes in the line-up, and around 1989-90, the 11-piece band was at a high, viewed in the rear view mirror.

In 1992, the band closed down – without a record contract, it got almost impossible to create gigs with such a big band. In the new millenium, a new edition has begun to fly: NightFlight Mk4, now 7 members (occasionally 9), still with some horns, now with a male lead vocalist – and the original members supplied with younger yet no less funky people. NightFlight continues to spread the word about a music that speaks to mind, soul and body at the same time. Read more on Last.fm.
