To see Nicole play for the first time is a moment you’ll never forget. She exudes an infectious energy and displays a breath-taking mastery of both voice and guitar. Hers is a unique musical style evolved from an eclectic multi-cultural heritage: Born to Indian parents and brought up in Vienna, Nicole was educated at International School and classically trained on piano. "You only have to catch a glimpse of the action in order to understand just how talented and electrifying this band really are.” DV8 Magazine Arriving to study at Bath University she instantly made waves in the local live scene with a number of bands. Her song writing stepped up a gear and she was soon honing these skills with her own band.

Her singing skills have not gone unnoticed by Goldfrapp for whom she sings background vocals live on occasions. By 2006 things started to move at pace… a demo of voice and acoustic guitar recorded in a friend’s lounge… a chance introduction to producer Tim Oliver (Happy Mondays, Goldfrapp)…. signing to his label Top Cat Music… developing her band sound at Helium, the studio he shares with producer Chris Hughes (Adam and the Ants, Tears For Fears) in Box, Wiltshire… the Taxi EP… the album to follow in the New Year. “I’ve heard thousands of demos and rarely if ever does one pluck all the right strings, so to hear one that does just that on my own doorstep was a once in a lifetime.” Tim Oliver The girl with the red strat. Nicole stands out from the crowd with her signature red Strat and her playing is just as unique. Her drummer Howard Gill and bassist Scott Barter are in a heavy rehearsal schedule and champing at the gig bit. The intimate line-up suits the raw tight sound Nicole loves and gives a great space and focus to her songs. The live show is all about energy and dynamics: From solo acoustic tunes to full-on rock/funk work-out, Nicole has the rare ability to captivate an audience throughout a show as both performer and entertainer.

Her inter-song banter has the audience feeding out of her hand. “She possesses a very deep soulful voice with a great range.” Moles Club Reviews Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
