Nettlemouth is a fusion of musical styles derived from a vast spectrum of influences such as Killing Joke, The Prodigy, Foo Fighters and many more including some less commercial acts (Warsaw Village Band for example). The overall purpose of Nettlemouth has evolved since it's beginnings in 2005 when it's intention was simply an outlet to express opinions mainly on controversial issues such as the Iraq war and 9/11 through the musical genres of drum n' bass and industrial rock. The overall purpose of Nettlemouth has evolved since it's beginnings in 2005 when it's intention was simply an outlet to express opinions mainly on controversial issues such as the Iraq war and 9/11 through the musical genres of drum n' bass and industrial rock. It was the industrial sound of Killing Joke that kick started the foundations for the Nettlemouth sound soon followed by inspiration from The Prodigy, Foo Fighters and recently The Chemical Brothers. Nettlemouth is now seen as a way of letting the listener receive a more positive vibe from the music produced by using a more modern electronic feel as opposed to a more industrial influenced approach.
