When it was originally formed in August 2004 by Kristjan Karmo, Mart Kozlov, Fred Gehrke and Heido Aas, nothing was supposed to come of it. Nobody even dreamed about live performances. However, the band quickly transformed: Oliver Vare and Lauri Liinat came in on guitars, leaving Kozlov free to complete his university studies. After a taste of success with their first EP, reaching the #1 spot on a local radio chart (Raadio 2) for 1 week in August 2006, the group took a break in 2008-2009.

Vare was studying in Hungary, giving the others a chance to take part in other projects. During that time, the now disbanded Penthouse 9 was born. This is where Karmo first met Allan Albert, Neljapäev's current bass player. 2010 and the return of Kozlov marked the start of a reanimation period, launching 3 singles, their first music video, first TV performance and, finally, first album. However, all this was too much for Liinat, forcing the band to find a new bass player.

Neljapäev started out 2011 with an “unplugged” concert, featuring their newest line-up with Albert on bass. Members: Kristjan Karmo - vocals Oliver Vare - guitar, vocals Mart Kozlov - guitar Allan Albert - bass Heido Aas - drums Marko Sakkos - sound Former members: Fred Gehrke - bass (2004-2007) Silja Madison - vocals (2005-2008) Maarja Virkus - alto sax (2006-2008) Lauri Liinat - guitar (2004-2007), bass (2007-2010) Read more on Last.fm.
