Scottish singer songwriter Neil McLarty has been writing and performing solo for around three years. After spending his teenage years and early twenties playing lead guitar for various indie rock bands, Neil decided to go it alone. Heavily influenced by Americana and Alternative Country, Neils music is often compared to artists such as Steve Earle, Ryan Adams, and Bob Dylan, all of whom he would sight as influences. Neil has also been described as having a laid back, traditional style of playing, something that complements his presence and ease on stage.

Now based in Leeds, Neil has been building a reputation for himself locally as a quality performer and song writer. He has collaborated with a number of other acts including playing guitar for local band Pigzipper, providing lead vocals on a track for dance outfit Astro Base, singing on an EP by Manchester based singer songwriter Baxter Trapp and filling in on bass for local country rock group The Tenderloin. Neil has just finished recording a new CD, with The Tenderloin lending there talents as his backing band. On top of the CD Neil is looking to broaden his horizons with more gigs around the UK later this year and early next.
