Western music was just a necessary accessory to enrich the show, but Nader Guirat was capable of changing the entire trend. He has proven that he is responsible, highly cultured and a most refined gentleman, so talented, bold and remarkably ambitious. Nader, whose voice is a tenor and yet so soft and angelic, presented a wide variety of music genres (Pop, Rock, House, Reggae, Opera, Musicals, etc...) performed in five different languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian and Arabic). He has shown a significant ability to sing and move concurrently.
He has also been distinguished by unusual stage presence and a unique charming charisma. By giving his best, he caught the audience and viewers’ attention by offering amazingly stunning spectacles of performance beyond their expectations while well mastering his vocals. His quiet nature hid the rage of an artist. Nader’s exceptional talent and performance has been unanimity praised in the media and by all international stars invited to participate in the show. He had the opportunity to perform with many international artists of the likes of Alessandro Safina, Tina Arena, Karl Wolf, Massari, Chris De Burgh, Cheb Khaled, Nadia, Amel Bent, Milk & Honey, Akram, Yves La Rock and many other celebrity performers well known in both the Arab and Western world. Nice to mention that, Alessandro Safina said that Nader reminded him of his beginnings and had subsequently invited him to spend a day with him in Venice. Nobody doubted that they were in the presence of an international star whose future is very promising. Even the panel of judges could not conceal their emotions during Nader’s performances.. Cameras captured their candid reactions during live broadcast! Day by day, Nader proved that music has no language and came to deeply affect the audience through his singing in multiple languages.
To date his many performances remain a wonderful journey that remain etched in memory. Throughout all past seasons of Star Academy, Nader was the only candidate who was chosen to perform remarkable solos without the aid of stage props or accompanying dancers, truly a One-man show of performance. Entertainment veterans and industry trendsetters justify this by the fact that his energy, his stage presence and charisma were more than sufficient to captivate the audience and viewers. Nader is also a confirmed composer and skilled guitar player (Classic and Electric). In short, with remarkable perseverance, strong persistence in life and a deep sense in music, he took on the challenge by booking a place in the finals, a well deserved finale.
Faced with an audience mostly Arab and with a tough competition against two talented candidates, in the performance of Arabic songs, on May 23rd 2008, the verdict of the voting viewers came through in his favour. Ever since, he has been nicknamed by his fans and the media “The Legend”. In fact, his impeccable mastery of Western songs is considered as a unique talent for a young artist from the Middle East. His victory also marks the first instance where the winner of the show is a performer of Western songs and music.
