His early influences included bands such as AC/DC, KISS, Led Zeppelin, The Steve Miller Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more along those lines. At around the 6th grade, he began to listen to rap.

This included artists like Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, 50 Cent, Eminem and Dr. Dre. By the 7th grade, he was already into artists such as MF DOOM, MURS, Atmosphere, Living Legends and Aesop Rock. These are the humble beginnings which lead to the plethora of influences upon his music which he began to make in 8th grade, and one again picking it back up by the end of the 11th grade. This rapper combines lyricism, story telling and cynicism with all of his influences-spanning from Vampire Weekend to The Cool Kids to Justice to Wiz Khalifa to Jay-Z to Dance Gavin Dance to Ratatat to Mos Def.

This amounts to a very diverse style of music and lyrics. It can almost be defined as music for anyone. This artist is starting to show signs of pushing boundaries, and will continue for years to come. Read more on Last.fm.
